Our Role

We don't accredit schools. We accredit the accreditor.

Every state has its own Department of Education, but few have the tools to evaluate the hundreds of private school accrediting bodies that operate within their borders. NCPSA fills that gap. We're a national nonprofit organization that provides structured, peer-reviewed validation of accrediting agencies. We ensure they operate with integrity, uphold quality standards, and put students first.

In Their Words

Voices from leaders making decisions every day.

Strong oversight doesn't have to be complicated. Our standards make it easier for departments of education to make decisions that prioritize quality and student outcomes.

Clayton J. Petry Executive Director, NCPSA

With NCPSA's validation, we don't have to reinvent the wheel. It gives us clarity on which accrediting bodies meet real standards, and that protects both our funding and our students.
